Q: Are your doctors accepting new patients?
Our doctors open their practices to new patients as they can accommodate doing so and this can change frequently. Please call the office for the current status.

Q: Do you accept same day appointments?
Yes, we do. Please call the location you are interested in visiting directly and the office staff will do our best to accommodate.

Q: Do you accept insurance?
As part of our new patient registration process, we verify that your unique policy is active. Bay Area Foot Care participates with most insurance plans.

Q: How do I need a referral to see a Podiatrist?
Brown and Toland patients do not need a referral to see our doctors. If you are a HMO member of Hill Physicians, or another plan that requires a referral to see a Specialist, contact your Primary Care Physician to speak with them about your need to see a Specialist. They can refer you to the proper Specialist and generate the necessary paperwork.

Q: Is Parking available?
Parking is available at all of our locations. Most offer free parking or ample street parking. Our San Francisco office has a paid parking lot available as well.

Q: Will I be able to get an X-ray at the office?
Yes, we have in office digital X-ray performed by our medical staff and evaluated by your doctor at the time of visit.

Q: Do you make home visits?
Unfortunately, we do not make home visits.

Q: Do you accept MediCal?
MediCal no longer covers Podiatry services unless you are under 18 years of age. However, we would love to still treat you. If you have MediCal but still would like to be seen by a Bay Area Foot Care specialist we will offer a discounted rate.

Q: Do you have Laser therapy?
Yes, we do! We have Scinton laser for treatment of fungal nails and MLS cold laser for pain. For fungal nails, the laser technology heats the nail and nail bed with laser energy resulting in a decrease of nail fungus and an increase in the growth of clear nails. Our MLS laser therapy is an innovative treatment to rapidly reduce pain for minor, acute, and chronic injuries.

While we offer the initial consultation without charge, the procedure itself is not covered by most insurance carriers. In some cases, the procedure is covered as an eligible medical expense under flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts. Check with your individual carrier for verification.
