Dr. Carolyn McAloon is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She completed her pre-med requirements and received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991. She obtained her professional degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and went on to complete her residency training at VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Upon completing her surgical training, Dr. McAloon started private practice in Castro Valley in 1999 and expanded the practice to Dublin in 2008.
Dr. McAloon is active in her professional organizations. She was elected President of the California Podiatric Medical Association for the 2013-2014 term to promote, advance and protect the specialty of podiatric medicine, to preserve the rights of the patients it serves and to seek continuous improvement in the quality of patient treatment and care. Training the next generation of podiatrists is important to Dr. McAloon. She is a mentor to both current podiatric medical students at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University and to pre-medical students considering the specialty.
Dr. McAloon’s passion is to keep patients on their feet so that they can enjoy an active lifestyle without foot pain holding them back.
