Diagnostic Services:

Digital X-rays:

  • You can leave our office with your x-rays on a CD if needed.
  • Foot and ankle x-rays are performed in our office.

Vascular Testing:
We perform a complete non-invasive arterial study of foot and leg. The study takes approximately 45 minutes for both lower extremities. The non-invasive arterial study includes several different testing modalities to assess the blood circulation to the feet and toes. Indications for this test include a non-healing wound/ulcer, pre-operative assessment of healing potential in patients that have Diabetes and/or Peripheral Vascular Disease, and pain in calves during walking.

Neurosensory Testing:
Neurosensory Testing with the Pressure-Specified Sensory Device (TM) is a non-invasive technique for assessing nerve damage by measuring the pressure threshold felt in the skin. By testing an area of the skin that corresponds to a specific nerve, the extent of nerve damage can be determined by the amount of pressure needed for a person to feel the touch of the testing device. An individual with a healthy nerve can feel a very light touch, and has a low pressure threshold. However, a person with a nerve that has been damaged by compression or neuropathy will require a greater than normal pressure for the touch to be felt, and therefore have an abnormal pressure threshold.
Neurosensory Testing with the Pressure-Specified Sensory Device (TM), is a scientifically proven way to obtain reliable reproducible measurements of nerve function. A painless test that can help the physician diagnose difficult clinical problems. Allows for monitoring of nerve function to assess even subtle loss or return of nerve function, as a result of surgery or conservative care. (more info click here www.sensorymanagement.com )

Computerized Foot Pressure Evaluation:
Utilizing the in-shoe sensors this diagnostic modality pinpoints the excessive foot pressure underneath the patient's foot. This computerized evaluation helps the doctor to design an orthotic that relieves and redistributes the painful pressures across the entire foot. (for more details click here www.acustep.com )
