Dr. Carolyn McAloon received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991. She then graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and went on to complete her residency training at VA Palo Alto Health Care System.
Upon completing her surgical training, Dr. McAloon came to Castro Valley where she has been in private practice since 1999. The practice expanded to Dublin in 2008. Dr. McAloon lives in the East Bay with her husband, Michael, and their children Andrew and Megan.
Dr. McAloon is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Professional Wound Care Association. Training the next generation of podiatrists is important to Dr. McAloon. She is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University.
Dr. McAloon is very active in her profession. She serves as the President of the California Podiatric Medical Association for the 2013-2014 term. She is a spokesperson for the American Podiatric Medical Association and is frequently sought out by the media for articles and programs pertaining to foot health and well being.
